The Bemidji Community Art Center presents an exciting opportunity for our visual arts space by intersecting readings of local and regional authors several times a year in the Main Gallery of the Art Center with our First Friday Spoken Word Series. As anchors of the Bemidji First Friday Art Walk the BCAC is committed to holding monthly receptions. Some shows on our exhibit calendar are slated for a 2-month period offering us the opportunity to promote a visual artist during the first reception and an author at the following month’s reception.
Along with the readings on the Spoken Word First Friday’s, some of our writer’s will be offering writers workshops on the following Saturday.
