- Bemidji Community Art Center will host our July First Friday Art Walk and opening reception from 5 to 7 pm featuring “Printmaking Defined – Woodcut Relief Prints by Eugene Dalzotto, 1949 to 1961″ including work by printmaker and curator, Jason Clark in gallery X2. Join us for a look at work created by Dalzotto, most of which has never been seen in exhibit along with the tools and information about this ancient form of printmaking. This exhibit is sponsored, in part, by a grant provided by the Region 2 Arts Council through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature, and from a grant from the Bemidji Area Arts Endowment, a component of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation and by Dalzotto Estate. - Bemidji Public Library Art Wall presents Dee Ann Najjar as their July Featured Artist – reception from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Kids attending will be invited to complete an arts-n-crafts project.
- Brigid’s Cross Irish Pub presents a of art and entertainment as we celebrate the 8th season of Brigid’s Cross, now under new ownership and management.
- Beltrami County History Center - present a special exhibit of historical photos from their collection as Join us on Friday July 6th for refreshments and free admission in the museum from noon to 4 p.m.
- Cabin Coffeehouse and Café – is pleased to present “Hometown Heroes-Part One” by Trish Barthorpe, owner of Photography by Trish. Reception is from 4 to 6pm.
- Dunn Bros Coffee – presents The Artists of STUDIO 10 for the month of July. Join us during the First Friday art walk July 6th from 2:00-4:00pm for their opening reception.
- FREAXIS STUDIOS – invites you to a short, free, and public Puppet Happening that will include snacks at 5 pm in the lower level of the Bemidji Community Art Center.
- Gallery North – Join us from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. to meet our Showcase Artist Dennis Mohney and Featured Artists John Eggers and Carol Hoyem.
- Neilson Place - presents “We All Love Paul” for July. Over a dozen local artists and photographers will be exhibiting their view of the famous couple (Paul and Babe) that grace our Bemidji lakefront and honor Paul and Babe on their 75th anniversary. Join us on July 6th from 3:00-4:30 pm for the opening reception of the exhibit.
- Rail River Folk School – presents Eli Balbach and his exhibit “Assimilation Made an Ass of My Nation”. First Frida reception from 5:00 to 7:00 that evening. After the reception, stay for the Northwoods Folk Collective – Open Stage. Sign- up 6:30pm, Show 7:30pm.
- Wild Hare Bistro and Coffeehouse will present “Out of the Shadows”, oil paintings by Ruth Ann Nordlund. Join us for the opening reception on First Friday, July 6th, from 3:00-5:00pm. After the Art Walk, experience Wild Hare’s own culinary artists at the First Friday Wine Bar, 5:00-9:00pm, featuring a Greek inspired menu as this month’s theme.
