Kysar is the author of two books of poetry, Dark Lake and Pretend the World, whose poems “radiate a lyric vitality as they explore the world of nature, motherhood, sexuality, and celebrate the lost bounty of the past,” according to the poet Dorianne Laux. Hill is the author of Blood Ties & Brown Liquor, published by the University of Georgia Press. This hour-long event, free and open to the public, Refreshments will be available for purchase. A book signing will follow the reading. The poets’ books will be available for purchase at the reading. Following the reading – First Saturday Live! Performance Series begins Saturday April 2nd, 7:00 to 9:00pm.  Join us for a unique performance experience with an in-concert, on-stage discussion exploring the emotional and physical forces behind the creative process.
