Bemidji Community Art Center – The BCAC announces our Call for Art for the Annual “Members Show”! If you are currently a member of the Bemidji Community Art Center and you are an artist or you have art you want to share, please take this unique opportunity to participate in the BCAC Annual Members Show opening on February 3rd, 2012. The BCAC is closed through Jan 16th and re-open for regular hours on the 17th. The Exhibit Committee will be accepting submissions of work from BCAC Members January 17th through the 28th. We will accept 1 to 3 pieces per artist for approval and installation. Include with your submission; your contact info., title of piece, artist name, medium, NFS or listing price if you wish to sell the piece. Please bring your art to the BCAC located at 426 Bemidji Ave N during the gallery hours, Tues through Friday 12 to 5. Neilson Place – The Neilson Place Art Committee continues it’s exhibit with artist Melissa Moss of Blueleaf Photographs entitled “Serenity” for the new year. Melissa says, “Photography is an unexplainable hidden treasure that only reveals itself when the picture is brought to life.” Her goal as a photographer is to share the world with you through the lens of her camera. The focus for this exhibit show is the word Serenity, what it can mean to different people and the idea that everyone finds peace or comfort in different things. Melissa’s artwork will be on display now thru the end of the year. Her work is for sale and a price list is available at the Reception Desk. Neilson Place is located at 1000 Anne St. NW, Bemidji.
