Announcing upcoming workshop scheduled for April 4th, 2009 entitled -
“Visual Expression: Autobiography Through Doll Making”
I Love a Parade Program Director and Lead Artist Sandra Haff, and seven of The Dolls’ artists – Cindy Arnold, Danielle Goins, Lois Erickson, LaTonya McIntosh, Sandy Olson, Michele Stanford, and Karri Zebel along with Renee Jones, daughter of deceased artist Marilyn- will present an experiential workshop inviting participants to express and share their autobiographies employing visual creations, dolls. This workshop is an exciting opportunity for artists, human service practitioners, and interested community members to participate in a hands-on experience that can be then shared in different settings. Materials will be provided, although participants are welcome to share their materials.
When: Saturday, April 4, 2009 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Where: American Indian Resource Center
Bemidji State University campus Next to Diamond Point Park, Birchmont Dr. N.E.
Workshop cost: $ 15.00 general public $ 5.00 elders and students/checks made out to Region 2 Arts Council.

Exhibit: In conjunction with the workshop an exhibit of the DOLLS will be on display at the Bemidji Public Library March 30th to April 4th.
