• Bemidji Community Art Center -  You are invited to the opening reception for the Annual Members Show Friday Feb 6 from 5 to 7pm.  Shop 426 will also be open with Valentines Day Specials Friday, Feb 6th through Sat., Feb 14th! 
• Beltrami County History Center   in conjunction with Gallery North, presents “Winter Fun” now through
• Wild Hare Bistro and Coffee House - presents watercolors and drawings by Malisa R. VanMaasdam February 6th through March 4th . Reception on Friday Feb 6th from 3 to 5pm.
• Dunn Bros Coffee -continues to feature the work of Marion Caroline through the month of February. 
• Gallery North -Open House Friday Feb. 6th from 2-5pm. The Gallery Showcase will feature the emerging artist Jamie Burdick. Jamie is a B.S.U. Art Major who works in oil pastels and pen and ink.   Gallery North announces the Annual Community Service Art Program – “Warm your Heart With A Little Art” to be held at Gallery North in February.   Gallery North and Northern Artists will be sponsoring The Artists of Minnesota Spring Show to be held in Bemidji May 15-17.
• NEW VENUE!  Cabin Coffeehouse and Café - features work by BSU student Brian Murphyfor Feb and March.   Stop in now to preview Brian’s work.  Join us in March for an artist reception on Friday March 6th. Also showing; paintings by Audry Merschman. 
• Mask & Rose Women’s Theater Collective and the Northwood’s Folk Collective invites you to their First Friday Coffeehouse on February 6th at the Wild Rose Theater  starting at 7:30 PM, performer sign-up begins at 6:30 PM, cost is $2.00 single – $5.00 family.

Call for Art for the BCAC’s Annual Members Show

If you are currently a member of the Bemidji Community Art Center and you are an Artist or you have Art you want to share, please take this unique opportunity to participate in the BCAC February exhibit and annual “Members Show”.

The exhibit committee will be accepting submissions of work from its members January 20th through January 30th, 2009.  Please bring your art to the BCAC, located at 426 Bemidji Ave N., during gallery hours, Tues. through Fri. from 12 to 5.  Don’t hesitate to call if you need to make other arrangements for dropping off your work (444-7570). 

We will accept 1 to 3 pieces per artist for approval and installation.  Please include your contact information and the following information for each piece of work submitted:  Title of work, artist name, medium and price or NFS. 

Opening reception will be on Feb 6th from 5 to 7pm for the First Friday Art Walk and run through Feb 28th.

January First Friday at a Glance

First Friday Art Walk in Bemidji for January 2nd, 2008

• Bemidji Community Art Center.  The BCAC is closed from Dec 21st to Feb 5th.  We will reopen on Feb 6th, 2009 with our BCAC Members Show.  Also re-opening for 2009 will be Shop 426 with Valentines Day Specials Friday, Feb 6th through Sat., Feb 14th!
• Beltrami County History Center   features “Winter Fun” now through February 2009. 
• Wild Hare Bistro and Coffee House  presents the work of Kapinga Mbale Jan. 2nd through February 4th. 
• Mask & Rose Women’s Theater Collective and the Northwood’s Folk Collective invites you to their First Friday Coffeehouse on February 6th at the Wild Rose Theater located in the Masonic Temple.  Featured in the Fleur de Lis Gallery for the month of January is artist Terry Honstead and her show entitled “Life’s Textures”. 
• Gallery North Open House for January features Gallery North’s Holiday Boutique. PLEASE NOTE: Gallery North will be closing at 2pm Christmas and New Years Eve and will be closed Jan.19-24th for carpet replacement and remodeling. Visit our ‘New Look’ Jan26th, 2009.
• Dunn Bros Coffee - features work by Marion Caroline on January 2nd from 5 to 7pm.
