February 2008 Exhibit

The BCAC started 2008 exhibit year with their annual “Members Show” by hosting their First Friday Art Walk and opening reception on Friday February 1st from 5 to 7pm. 

This annual show presents work created and collected by members of the BCAC.  Also during the reception the BCAC has their drawing for the Art Purchase Coupon.  Participants in the drawing must members at the $150 Contributor level and must be current and up-to-date with there dues.  Those eligible had there name in a drawing to receive up to $300 for the purchase of art from one of the BCAC member artists.

BCAC seeks nominations for Friends of the Arts

Friends of the Arts is celebrating 20 years and the Bemidji Community Art Center is asking people in the Bemidji Community and surrounding area to nominate this year’s Friend of the Arts.

The nominee for the Friend of the Arts award should be a living person (or couple) who has given generously of time and effort to promote the arts in the greater Bemidji area. Nominations must be received at the Bemidji Community Art Center (BCAC) at 426 Bemidji Ave, Bemidji, MN 56601, no later than April 16th, 2008. The public will be informed of the selection committee’s choice by May 1st and an event to honor the new Friend of the Arts recipient will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 from 5-7pm at the Headwaters School of Music and the Arts.
